Uitnodiging 2016 European MedTech Forum

Van 30 november tot 2 december vindt het European MedTech Forum plaats in Brussel. Het centrale thema is: “The 4th industrial revolution: the MedTech era?” Er is specifiek aandacht voor drie specifieke onderwerpen die in parallelle sessies aan bod zullen komen: Innovation & New Business Model, Market Access & Regulatory, en Digital Health. Leden worden van harte uitgenodigd om daaraan deel te nemen.
Uit de uitnodiging van EDMA/Medtech Europe:
“Key topics to be discussed during our plenary and parallel sessions include the impact of technological innovations on the healthcare sector and HCPs, big data and cyber risks, the new frontiers of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 3D printing, and the new challenges of a continuous changing environment for regulators and payers. The parallel sessions will be divided into 3 themed tracks:

Innovation & New Business Model Track

• Precision medicine through biomedical engineering and 3D printing
• Addressing the needs of the patient community through patient engagement and peer-to-peer support

Market Access & Regulatory Track
• The New Medical Device Regulation - How to hit the 2020 deadline
• A new regulation - A new vision for IVDs in Europe
• The economic Value of Medtech: is this the new era for a partnership between Industry and Payers?
• The future buyers: does value-based procurement have a place?

Digital Health Track
• Digital dilemmas and cyber risks in the world of medtech
• Implications of artificial intelligence on clinical care, surgery and product development
• Upcoming generation of mobile and e-health tools
